Guild Rules

These are the Guild Rules, Read Them, Follow them
and don’t Break Them.
.

——————————————————————————————————————————————————————————

In order to keep things running as smooth as possible, we ask that you adhere to these rules. Ignorance is not an option. People breaking these rules will be warned, then moved to rank of Sin Bin (You can listen but not speak) and repeat ‘offenders’ will be removed from the guild altogether.
(see 3 strikes your out)
Take these rules as they come. We like to put our emphasis into being a casual guild, but most of the following drives even the most mellow of us a little nuts, so avoid it when possible.
Obviously, Officers and Jaxom aren’t available all the time. If you notice something happening that goes against our rules, be sure to mail one of the Dragon Officers or Jaxom in-game and let us know.

Chat Rules

A big part of the guild is its chat channel; it’s how we get to know each other, ask for help, arrange Dungeons and Raids, and just to chat :) .

1.Don’t repeat yourself! Don’t repeat yourself! Don’t repeat yourself!
If you ask a question, don’t repeat it every 30 sec until you get an answer. Asking once is enough, if someone knows or have what you ask for they will answer. If not, wait and ask again later, when other people have logged in.

2. No Personal Arguments!
Do not be rude or impolite to other members. If you have a problem with someone else from the guild, take it up with that person through PMs (whisper), not in guild chat. If you fight in guild chat you will both get punished. Even if you didn’t start it, so if someone picks a fight with you in guild chat, then Whisp them back. You are of course welcome to take screenshots of chat, in case you need to give it to an officer, Jaxom or a Games Master.

3. Attacking Guild Mates
You will not verbally abuse a fellow guild mate or talk about them behind their back. By abuse we mean personal attacks, harassment or other things of a related nature. Adult jokes and such are okay as long as you know the chances of anyone taking offence is minimal.

4. No Racial Slurs
You will be careful around real life political and religious subjects. Some topics are worse than others. This includes racial slurs.
Many of you know each other well and we have very different backgrounds, but remember there are others who might be more sensitive, so keep in mind some jokes might be better in /p or /w

5. No Links to Illegal/Offensive Stuff
This means no links to sites that sell in game stuff for wow, no links for any offensive pictures etc… If you post this in guild chat we will report it to blizzard because it is against their policy. Also remember that we do have people in the guild that are under 18.

6. Conversations Involving Subjects that Go Against Blizzard’s ToS (Terms of Service)
We like Blizzard; they’ve given us a nice game to play together. Therefore, we would ask you not to talk about matters that are against Blizzard’s ToS (that is to say, do not talk about HOW to do things that are against Blizzard’s ToS), such as:
- Account Sharing/Selling
- Buying/Selling Gold or other items for real-life money
- Private Servers
- Botting/Automating

7. Conversations that belong on other channels
Don’t use Guild Chat as a Party Channel, We don’t really want a running commentary of what’s going on in the Dungeon you are in. This one Drives the Boss Nuts, so Don’t Do It :)

8. Other basic chat rules
Do not override profanity filter IE: sh-it.
Do not ask guild members for money. Ask how to make it.

Promotions: How They Work

As you spend more time in the guild, you should become known to your fellow guild mates. Dragons Weyr appreciate friendly, helpful, active members above all else; depositing items and money (while always much appreciated) is not grounds enough to make officers promote you.
If you do not have the patience to wait for a promotion (and to participate in guild activities during that time), then this probably isn’t the guild for you.

Who Will Get Promoted

• People who are active (and friendly!) in guild chat
• People who offer to help other guild members
• People who run instances with their guild members

Who Won’t Get Promoted

• People who are inactive/uninvolved with guild activities
• People who ask why they can’t get promoted after they’ve been here X number of days
• People who repeatedly ask for items from the guild bank and do not put anything back in
• People who ask for help and do not contribute anything in return

Guild Bank

The Dragons Weyr Bank
The bank is provided mainly as a trading area for Members:
(example: if you are a Miner you could deposit some copper ore in trade for light leather someone else has put in, Get the Idea!
Similar idea with green items: if you don’t have a use for them, stick them in the bank and let the enchanters get at them.
Obviously, we understand that you need to live, so put whatever you’d rather keep in the auction house and save up a little nest egg for yourself.
The idea is that whatever you take from the guild bank, try to put it back.
Also, the guild bank is not a dumping ground, so do not drop vendor trash (grey named items) in any of the bank tabs, please.
Anyone who puts grey items in the bank tabs will have them returned to them.

No one (except Jaxom) is able to withdraw gold from the guild bank.
Gold is used for member repairs only.
Do not ask to borrow money from the guild bank. No one has this privilege, not even officers.

Web Site Etiquette

1. Respect other peoples posts and views; feel free to post your own.

2. There is no need to flame someone, discuss the post without resorting to a personal level

3. Don’t spam, no questions asked

4. If you see something offensive or any problems with the site, report it to Jaxom.

Help and Dungeons

Please remember that when asking other members for help that we are also playing the game, members will help as soon as they are available to do so.
If you have asked for help and a member has said they will, either after a specific time or after completion of a quest or instance, please be patient.
Always make sure you have enough time available, Do Not ask for help and then leave Group or Loggoff!!

Instances: Members wishing assistance in dungeons after lvl 25 may ask any level 80 for help under the following conditions.
First! ask if they are available.
Then assemble a group, yourself and 3 others, then invite the lvl 80 who will accompany you to the dungeon and assist and when required bale you out of trouble.
We as a guild do not promote boosts or levelling by doing it for you! Other lvl 70 plus may also assist under the same guidelines.

Instances Level 80 and Raids:

Rule No 1 “Any lvl 80 pugging the weekly or getting locked out prior to guild organised runs will be placed in the sin-bin.”

Rule No 2If you accept an invitation to a guild raid and do not show up for the scheduled raid, you will be banned form the next raid. If unsure click Tentative.

The weekly Frost emblem Raid is run on Wednesdays at 9pm uk time (10 pm Server), Friday Night at 9pm Uk time ( 10pm server) is open raid night, Saturday at 3pm uk (4pm Server) is our regular raid, check calendar for that weeks dungeon.

Note: If you have a valid reason for not showing or wanting to run prior to guild run explain your reason to a guild officer!

Members need to be proactive, if you want to do a specific dungeon or raid post a calendar date and time and invite people, so other members can see it and join. Also check with other members when you come on line to see about discussions going on about upcoming Raids and Dungeons. Very Important, if we wipe during a raid don’t freak out, it wasn’t anyone’s fault, the drops wouldn’t be so good if they were easy :)

Guild 2 Guild helps with access to more members and we know it doesn’t always work right but were working on it.
