DW wants to start running a regular, reliable, 10 man raiding team.

The team will consist of 14 members, allowing for 4 on stand-by each raid.

This is how the invite system for the raid team will work.
This also stands for ALL DW GUILD-ORGANISED RUNS.

Before accepting the invite read the following:

First, check the role you are being invited to perform. ie: if the invite says healer and you want to go as dps, choose the "decline" option and request a dps invite! There's no guaruntee a dps place will be available, though, so think carefully, and if in doubt, hit "tentative" and ASK JAX!

Similarly, if you have more than one raiding toon, make sure you accept for the class/role you wish to take on the day.

If you wish to change class/role/whatever on the day, you may /w a polite request to Jax as early as possible. IF it is possible for him to easily rejuggle people, he'll try to help. However, if he can't for whatever reason, then you are expected to run without complaining on the toon you accepted the invite for.

    On stand-by

If we have more people accepting than places available, some will be put on *stand-by*. If you are on stand-by, you must arrive prepped and ready to raid just as if you were accepted. If others don't show up or are late/unprepared/etc, those on stand-by will be given their places at short notice.
Those who are on stand-by may also be included in the event of someone DC'ing or being called away on an emergency etc.
Stand-by's will benefit by being prioritised for the next raid they "accept" for.

Rules for raid acceptance: general guild runs -

If you cannot definately commit to the planned raid day, but wish to be *on stand-by*, choose "tentative".

You accept that if you fail to show up you will NOT be invited to guild runs for the next 2 weeks. No-shows are completely unacceptable, as they let down every other guild member who shows up ready to go.
Repeat offenders will have their raid ban length increased by 2 weeks each no-show.
In extreme cases, offenders may be banned from future guild runs altogether!!

Obviously, there are always occasions when your plans change and you have to pull out of a raid you're booked for. Wives going into labour at inopportune times, rescuing children from quicksand etc etc. Frankly, if you can get someone else to pant with the wife/rescue the brats, then do so, but if it really MUST be you, please make every effort to let the raid organiser know ASAP (thats AS SOON AS POSSIBLE in case you didnt know!!)

General Rules for 10 man team -
You are committing to running every Thursday at 7:30 pm Uk (8:30 pm Server).
You will be online 15 mins prior to start time with the correct potions, elixirs and buff food for your class, and enough to last you the duration of the run.
You will have read the tactics for that weeks raid run, and discussed any concerns etc about it, prior to Thursday
You will have DBM addon Installed - this is available from Curse.com
You will have vent installed and setup ready to use - (you only need to be able to listen, although talking IS preferred)

Note: 14 members will make up the core team with 10 raiding and 4 on stand-by.
(Those on stand-by duty will get priority to raid the next week they are available)
    Main team = 2 x tanks, 2 x Healers, 2 x melee, 4 x ranged
    On Stand-by= 1 tank, 1 healer, 1 melee, 1 ranged

Rules for raid acceptance: 10 man team -
If you cannot definately commit to Thursday that week, but wish to be *on stand-by* choose "tentative".
You accept that if you fail to show up you will NOT be invited for the next month. No-shows are completely unacceptable, as they let down every other guild member who shows up ready to go.
Repeat offenders will have their raid ban length increased by 1 month each no-show.
In extreme cases, you will be dropped from the core team and your place offered to somone more reliable.

As above, obviously, there are going to be occasions when your plans change suddenly and you have to pull out of a raid at short notice. ISP crashes, terrorists taking your cat hostage and town-flattening hurricanes are examples of acceptable excuses for dropping at short notice. However this practice is Strongly Frowned Upon. If you really can't avoid dropping out, please make every effort to let Jax know as soon as possible so that he can arrange a replacement for you.

1 question. Is there a specific site's tactics we use? I usually read on bosskillers and that seems to have some differences to whoever finds the tactics we use. It casued problems last night and I'd rather go in blind and have it explained than do it by the rules and only find out my info is wrong when it wipes us.

So, read and accepted in theory, but aware that it's not 100% in the real thing and could need some clarification or a re-write (which I will then read again)
