First, obviously, you need to download a copy of Ventrilo from http://www.ventrilo.com/download.php You want a Client program - assuming you are running a version of Windows, you will want the Windows i386 – 32bit link. To use Dragons Weyr's Vent server, you will now need an account set up for you by Mumm. Jax or any guild member can point you in my direction, or use the /who function in social tab to search my guild name (which is * who cares * (no capital letters)), and any username online with 'mumm' in it, is me!! My usernames are also in my sig at the bottom of this post! To make adding the ip addy easier, copy/paste this now: 85.236.100.19 Then open your vent prog up, follow these instructions to add your username and DW's server details, and you'll be ready to connect!! brought to you by Mumm and Cedarra of His'n'Hers Productions Copyright 2010 =P

OK, now you have vent set up and you've logged in, right!? Now you have some minor set-up to do, starting with PTT. PTT stands for Push to Talk, and it means your mic will only transmit when you hit the key of your choice, instead of transmitting automatically at a certain noise volume, ie-whenever you talk/cough/sniff/your dog barks etc etc!! You'll need to think what keybinds you have set in WOW, because you need a single key that isn't being used for anything else, but is easy to reach ... You may have to try several before you find the one that works best for you, or, like me, rejuggle your bindings to free up one you want. I used to use the right ctrl, but now use F2, as I wanted a key on the left of the kb and r ctrl was interfering with my casting I think! You will find that some people are very loud to you and some are very quiet. This isn't a problem, as you can adjust people's volumes individually! Just follow the numbers on our handy guide to learn how!! (Yes, more from the infamous His'n'Hers Prod team!) *~* still to come - muting people and making complaints to the admins! - overlay set up *~* - integration and changing the look of your ventrilo box
